Spring 2008

Spring is very wet this year. We have had good days, but generally the weather is very unstable.

The irisses were very nice this year (top picture) Pity Van Gogh is not around anymore, he could have done something with this.

The buxus have had their annual clipping and look smart again. We always wonder how old they are. We have buxus that are 5 years old and 30cm high, these are 1,6m high!

Kitchen renovation, part 2

The kitchen renovation is now finished. We have installed a new woodstove (Rizzoli from Italy), electrical oven and a new cooking plate on gas. Quite an improvement as you can see. The top picture is the kitchen as we found it 5 years ago, the bottem one as it is now. The woodstove is also capable to heat the central heating water and should have a higher efficiency than the previous one. At the moment we have nearly 30m3 of wood on stock, enough for 3 winters.
